William Marshall Moore

William Marshall Moore, 65, died unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his home.

He was born July 31, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late William D. and Antonia L. (Gulick) Moore. He grew up in Logan, graduating from Logan High School in 1963 and Dennison University in 1968.

Bill was introduced to Diane Hannewald by her father and they were married December 4, 1971. She survives along with their three children, W. Jeffrey Moore, Gregory Paul (Jill) Moore and Stephanie (James) Britt, all of Columbus and his grandson, James William Britt. He also leaves behind a number of cousins and close friends.

Bill worked as an independent sales rep in Columbus for 25 years. He and Diane retired to Bucyrus a year and a half ago. He loved to golf and was a member of Hickory Hills in Columbus and, more recently, the Galion Country Club. He was also a member of Bucyrus Elks Lodge 156.

Bill and Diane enjoyed traveling, mainly to Florida and Hilton Head. They also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and he was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, December 17 at Wise Funeral Service with Pastor David Bliss officiating. Friends may call three hours prior; from 4-7 p.m. Bill will then be cremated per his wishes. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
