Violet L. Brenneman, 88, of Bucyrus, died Monday, August 31, 2015 following a brief illness.
She was born January 12, 1927 in Lima to the late Aldine Joseph and Eliza (McMillen) Brenneman. Violet lived a majority of her life in Bucyrus, working at Swan Rubber, from where she retired. She had a strong faith in God and most recently enjoyed worshiping at the Church of the First Born in Dalton, Ohio. Violet will be remembered for her belief of praying before every meal, her love of animals and her many trips to Amish Country spent with friends and family.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by her 10 siblings, Cletus, Dale, Marvin, Virgil, and Robert Brenneman, Lucille Hamilton, Mildred Kocher, Lillian Blue, Opal Kneller and Geneva Hawk.
Violet will be buried in Pike Mennonite Cemetery in Elida, Ohio at a later date. Memorial contributions can be given to the Church of the First Born, 2577 Alabama Ave. SW, Dalton, Ohio 44618 or a charity of the donor’s choice. Memories are encouraged to be shared below.
