Vicky VanHouten

Vicky L. VanHouten, 69 of Bucyrus, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, while under the care of Southern Care Hospice.

She was born June 9, 1955 in Bucyrus to the late Charlie and Barbara (Soulier) Shelton. Vicky worked at Swan Rubber for 34 years until her retirement and in her free time, she enjoyed tending to various plants around the home. On February 22, 1999, she married Ron VanHouten, and they enjoyed 26 years of companionship as well as attending a few NASCAR races over those years. Vicky was happiest at home and in more recent years, enjoyed relaxing while flipping through the TV channels.

In addition to her husband, Ron, Vicky is survived by a son, Jeremy (Dawn) McAdams; stepson, Tony (Tammy) VanHouten; grandchildren, Nathan McAdams, Sydney McAdams, Holden Davis, Lady Faye McCoy, and X’ander Davis. She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Davis.
