Tori A. Carman

Tori Andréa Carman, 19, of Bucyrus, died Monday, May 3, 2021 as result of an automobile accident.

She was born on August 6, 2001 in Marion, Ohio to Todd Andrew Carman and Miranda Rae (Clark) Carman. Growing up in Bucyrus, Tori enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She attended Wynford High School where she was active in art/drawing, sang in the choir, and enjoyed a cooking competition and Americettes when she was younger. Tori was a 2020 graduate of Pioneer Career and Technology Center where she studied Webpage Design. While at Pioneer, she was active in Business Professionals of America (BPA) serving as their Historian and was also honored with going to the state level competitions. Tori was a service representative for student council and served on the yearbook staff as well. Throughout her schooling, she competed in an art gallery and was quite successful as an artist.

During high school Tori worked for a period at McDonald’s. Following high School, she was working on a project for a video game development and was a gifted sales rep at Verizon in Mansfield. She loved dressing up in cosplay and had a knack for unique FX makeup. Her skills and abilities were in high demand, especially around Halloween, when businesses such as MB Subculture would hire her to help with costumes and creative cosmetics. Her anime drawings were second to none and she loved gaming with fellow gamers. WerewolfGirl53 was her gamer name and Naruto was her favorite game. She enjoyed listening to a vast array of music and spoiled her dog Jynx and pet hamsters. This included regular cleanliness, haircuts and often free run of the house when she was there. Most of all, making sure they had everything they needed and more.

Tori will be deeply missed by her parents, Miranda and Todd; siblings, Marissa Alyxandra Severns, Duela Quinn Carman and Todd A. Carman II; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Clark; paternal grandparents, Deborah (Chuck) Kominek and Gary (Janet) Wade; paternal great grandmother, Jaqueline Gilliland; paternal great grandfather, Vernon Lester; aunts, Melinda (Aaron) Bennett, Kerri Stephens and uncle Andrew Todd Carman; cousins, Kyliana, Declan, Waylon, Kiersten, Jericka, Logan, Jaxon and Drew as well as other close friends, especially her boyfriend, Braden Nichols of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, Clarence and Beatrice Seyler and James and Beulah Goodall; paternal great grandfather, Gerald “Pa” Gilliland and a sibling, Baldur Carman.

Tori’s family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Friday, May 7 at Wise Funeral Service where her funeral will be held beginning at 1:00 pm Saturday with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Donations can be made payable to either Pioneer CTC, where gifts will benefit the BPA Program or Wynford Local Schools for the benefit of the arts program. These gifts will be accepted through the funeral home. Photos and memories are encouraged to be shared on her tribute page.
