Timothy R. Hord

Timothy R. Hord, 55, of Coldwater, Mich. and formerly of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, August 4, 2011 in Community Health Center of Branch County.

He was born November 15, 1955 in Bucyrus to the late Raymond and Verdie (Laipply) Hord. After graduating from Bucyrus High School in 1974, Tim served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Guam and Puerto Rico. Tim worked very hard as a truck driver and was currently driving for YRC Trucking.

Tim is survived by four children, Amanda (Nicholas) Hafford of Columbus, Timothy R. (Haley) Hord, II of St. Louis, Mo., Brandon Hord and Cameron Hord, both of Fremont; grandchildren, Hanna and Trenton Hord; sisters, Sheran Bronson of San Antonio, Texas and Raedene (Dennis) Frost of Brandon, Fla.; and brother, Leonard (Jill) Hord of Bucyrus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryan Hord.

Tim loved to share a good conversation with anyone who had the time, often boasting about the accomplishments of his children. An avid outdoorsman, Tim loved to fish, golf, hunt mushrooms and was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. He will be remembered as a big-hearted man who loved the Lord, loved to have fun and held his family higher than anything else.

The Hord family will receive friends Sunday, August 7 from 2-5 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bucyrus First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge where military rites will be observed.

Memorial contributions may be given to Wise Funeral Service to help the family with expenses.
