Teresa J. Wyeth, 64, of Bucyrus died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at her residence where she was surrounded by family.
She was born November 5, 1952 in Celina, Ohio to the late Gerald E. and F. Janet (Daniels) Saam. Her family moved to Bucyrus in 1964 and Teresa graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1971.
She worked at Geyer’s and GE before hiring in at Arctic Cat in Bucyrus where she was known as “Resi” by fellow employees. Resi spent 18 years with the company and only retired due to her declining health.
Teresa will be remembered as a “handywoman,” possessing the confidence and skills to fix and repair anything thrown her way. She was a lady with a huge heart who never met a stranger and she cherished every moment spent with family. Biologically she had 13 grandchildren but she was known as grandma by so many others due to her love and care shown. Teresa had compassion for all animals and loved her cats through the years.
She is survived by four children, Matthew (Sharon) Wyeth of Anchorage, Alaska, Jason (Jennifer) Wyeth of Joplin, Missouri, Martin (Jolena Goon) Wyeth and Cassandra “Cassi” Wyeth, both of Bucyrus; 13 grandchildren, Darolyn (Igor) Raskin, Edward “Mikie” Wyeth, Tyler (Rachel) Wyeth, Brendan Wyeth, Jaret Wyeth, Aaron Clinard, Seth Wyeth, Hannah (Donovan) Schwartz, Breanna Wyeth, Colin Wyeth, Bryce Mitchem, Chandler Blankenship and Kendle Blankenship as well as one great grandson, Robbie Raskin. Teresa is also survived by one brother, Michael (Anita) Saam of Bucyrus; one nephew, Monte (Sharon) Saam and one niece, Kelly (Collin) Schifer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Wilson Wade Wyeth, her former husband with whom she remained close, and a nephew, Matthew Saam.
Teresa will be cremated with a gathering to be held on a later date. Contributions may be given to the Wise Funeral Service to offset expenses and friends are encouraged to share memories and photos on her Tribute Wall.
