Susanne L. Alheim, 68, of Toledo, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Mercy St. Anne Hospital following extended illnesses.
She was born December 5, 1946 in Bucyrus to the late Gaylord N. and Virginia A. (Naufzinger) Alheim. Susanne attended school at Holmes Liberty and graduated with the first class of Wynford High School in 1964 and next graduated from Tiffin University.
Susanne was a bit of a perfectionist and believed in doing right for others. She lived much of her life in Tiffin and Toledo and held a variety of jobs including Heidelberg Library, manager of a credit union, realtor, Flower Hospital in Sylvania and also worked at a local clinic where she tried bettering people’s lives.
She loved music, especially the oldies and Sue had a beautiful singing voice. In her free time, she enjoyed watching old time videos such as Ma & Pa Kettle and was very adept in her computer skills. She loved her many pets through the years with her favorite being Dee Dee Boots.
She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie (Howard) Koons and Pam Alheim, both of Bucyrus; one brother, Larry (Ann) Alheim of Marion; nieces and nephews, Stephen (Karen) Koons of Texas, Karen (Rob) Grassick of Ontario, Rodney Alheim of Columbus and Angela Alheim of Marion. Sue was preceded in death by her nephew, Gary Koons.
Sue cherished the many years spent with her “adopted” extended families, the Dr. Elizabeth Innis family of Tiffin and Marcia Miller family in Toledo.
Sue’s cremation arrangements were entrusted to the staff of Wise Funeral Service and a private burial will be held on a later date in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home. Memories and expressions of sympathy are encouraged to be shared on her tribute wall.
