Sue A. Tomlin, 78, of Bucyrus, died at Friday, November 25, 2011 at Altercare of Bucyrus following a brief illness.
Sue was born August 2, 1933 in Bucyrus to the late Ralph and Naomi (Shellhorn) Kibler. She was a 1951 graduate of North Robinson High School and on January 4, 1952 she married Glenn Tomlin who survives.
Sue worked for many years at Timken which is where she retired from and was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles, going to the lake for Lake Erie perch and in the past liked going to flea markets, but what made her most happy was cooking and baking. Not only because she was good at it, but because it was something that she could do for her family whom she so dearly loved. Sue also enjoyed their swimming pool as it provided relaxation and brought friends and family together.
In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Linda Tomlin of rural Bucyrus; three grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Sharp, Ryan (Jesseca) Tomlin both of Bucyrus and Shane (Stacy) Tomlin of Chipley, Fla.; eight great grandchildren; one niece, Sharon Gray of Vermillion, Ohio and a longtime family friend, Pam Spears.She is preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Tomlin; a daughter, Chelly Staiger and a brother Bob Kibler.
Private funeral services will be held at Wise Funeral Service with Pastor Jim Ellis officiating and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Woodlawn UMC through the funeral home.
