Shirley A. Rehm, 91, died Thursday afternoon, January 30, 2025 at Westbrook Assisted Living in Upper Sandusky, where she had been a resident for six years, under the care of Tranquility Hospice.
She was born October 4, 1933 to the late Lester and Mary (Myers) Rehm in Bucyrus, where she attended Bucyrus Schools. Shirley always did her best considering the difficult circumstances she endured over her long lifetime. She worked in childcare and cleaned area homes.
Shirley was an avid reader. She also enjoyed going to movies at Schine’s Theater and going out to eat. She especially enjoyed visits with her niece that included a meal at Bob Evans and shopping at Walmart.
Shirley is survived by three sisters, Mary Ann Kerdolff, Susan Oberlander, and Carol Bell along with many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne, Carl, John, Jack, and Richard Rehm and her sister, Doris Bloom.
Shirley’s family will gather privately for a graveside funeral in Oakwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to make the gifts payable to Humane Society Serving Crawford County and give through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus.
Memories and photos can be shared on the guestbook of Shirley’s tribute page at www.wisefuneral.com.
