Sally J. Fellows

Sally Jean Fellows, 82, of Bucyrus, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at The Wyndmoor of Marion as a result of Alzheimer’s.

She was born August 22,1942 in Bucyrus to the late Edward and Delores (Kaple) Uhl. Sally was a 1960 graduate of Bucyrus High School and has remained a loyal Redmen supporter. On October 28, 1966 she married David E. Fellows who survives. Sally genuinely enjoyed her 40 years working at G. E. and formed some great friendships which remained strong even after her retirement in 2001.

Her favorite pastime was traveling, and she and Dave created many wonderful memories while visiting the 48 lower states. Sally was no stranger to the kitchen and will certainly be remembered for her many sweet treats prepared for family and friends. For many years, they faithfully supported the OSU Women’s Basketball team as season ticket holders and for relaxation she loved reading a good book. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to Dave, her husband of nearly 58 years, Sally is survived by her son, Brett (Amanda) Fellows; granddaughter, Abby Wood; sister, Margaret “Maggie” (Frank) Fischer and sisters-in-law, Barbara Uhl, Patricia Nye and Maxine Fellows.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John “Benny” Uhl; brothers-in-law, Tom Fellows and Calvin McCarthy and sister-in-law, Margaret McCarthy.

A memorial visitation for Sally will be held from 4 – 5:55 pm Monday, September 9 at Wise Funeral Service, where her memorial service will begin that evening at 6:00 pm with Pastor Don Neumann officiating.

Donations can be made payable to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted through the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are encouraged to be shared on her guestbook page at www.wisefuneral.com.
