Ruth Elizabeth Lutz

Ruth E. Lutz, 90, of Bucyrus, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Altercare of Bucyrus.

She was born in Akron to the late Thomas and Alice (Korb) Reber and was a 1943 graduate of Chatfield High School. Ruth worked for G.E. and the local telephone company prior to marring Harold J. Lutz in 1947. She then worked as a homemaker and raised the family.

Earlier in life she was an active member at St. John’s UCC where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, horseback riding and painting. Ruth also took an interest in knitting as well as driving around town looking for garage sales.

She is survived by two children, Daniel (Wanda) Lutz of Delphos and Dawn R. Cory of Grove City; two step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; three brothers, Charles, Marvin and Max Reber; one sister, Marjorie Senna and one grandson, Donald Lutz.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5 at Wise Funeral Service where her family will receive friends one hour prior from noon – 1 p.m. Burial will be in Lust Cemetery.
