Roseanna L. Ruth

Roseanna Lee Ruth, 81, died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital ER after a year of failing health.

She was born November 24, 1942 in Delaware County to the late J. Raymond and Beulah (Baseler) Weiser. She grew up in rural Marion and graduated from Pleasant High School in 1960. While attending Pleasant, Roseann was a member of the National Honor Society, Homemakers Club, Yearbook staff, and the band. She also played piano for the church in her youth. Roseann then studied at Carnegie College and Ohio State. She worked in healthcare as a lab technician and receptionist for Marion General Hospital, Bucyrus Community Hospital, and Fairview Manor. Roseann was a former member of Moose Lodge 669. She married Richard E. “Dick” Ruth in 1998 and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2007.

Roseann is survived by son, John W. Wanamaker; grandson, Seth Wanamaker; nephew, Keith (Kelley) Carroll, and niece, Kimberly (Dave) Unger. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Thula and James Carroll, and her grandnephew, Brandon Unger.

Guests may gather at Roseann’s graveside in Oakwood Cemetery on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 am where her service will be officiated by Rev. Don L. Neumann.
