Robert L. Cole

Robert L. Cole, 84, of Fremont, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his daughter's home in Mechanicsville, Virginia where he was being cared for.

Robert was born September 2, 1928 in Bucyrus and was raised by his late mother, Alberta (Rehm) Schill. He next operated his own milk delivery route and also sold ice cream on the side. He ended his work career driving for Nickels Bakery. These jobs provided for his family but it also gave him the opportunity to socialize with customers and make new friends which Bob loved to do.

Bob wasn't much for joining groups and he didn't have a lot of hobbies but he loved spending time with his family and also spent many hours in his garden, growing various vegetables and will be remembered for his asparagus which he shared with the neighbors.

In addition to Virginia, his wife of 64 years, Bob is survived by two children, Deborah (Robin) Kleinschmit of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Richard Cole of Cleveland; one granddaughter, Lindsay (Travis) Rothstein; two grandsons, Steve (Kym) Kleinschmit and Jeff Kleinschmit along with a six great-grandchild, Kaydon, Jackson, Jenny, Adam, Paige, and Madisyn.
