Robert E. Orewiler was born the son of Floyd and Clara (Lohr) Orewiler in Sandusky, Ohio on February 13, 1928 and died in West Des Moines, Iowa on July 20, 2010 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 7 days. In 1952, Robert enlisted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1954. On July 9, 1962, Robert and Wilda Stansbery were married in Miami, Oklahoma. Robert was employed as a diesel mechanic most of his life. He worked at Pfeifer Transfer Co. in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Bar-B Travel Plaza in Urbandale as well as Concord Trucking and Refrigeration in Ankeny. Robert leaves the following family to celebrate his life: wife Wilda Orewiler of Dexter, Iowa; son Robert Orewiler Jr. and wife Chris of Marion, Ohio; daughter Susan May and husband Benie of Carey, Ohio; daughter Andrea Cotten and husband Jim of Dexter, Iowa; daughter Ava Bassler and husband Steve of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; son Robey Orewiler and wife Penny of Des Moines, Iowa; son Thomas Orewiler of Dexter, Iowa; brother Marvin Orewiler and wife Janette of Bucyrus; sister Alice Whaley of Bucyrus; sisters-in-law Jenny Orewiler and Sue Ballard of Bucyrus; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
