Rev. Earl E. Jordan

There will be a celebration of life and ministry for Rev. Earl Jordan, age 86, who went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 10, 2018 at his home. Rev. Jordan will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 64 years, Mildred (Bosma) Jordan and his children, Jennifer Potvin, Dan (Pam) Jordan, Teresa (Greg) Blevins, Ronald Jordan, Mark (Helen) Jordan, and by his sister, Irene Runnels. He will be fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Louis Potvin and niece, Kathy Murphy.



He was born October 7, 1931 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Earl Bruce and Mattie (Nelson) Jordan and the family later moved to Toledo, Ohio. Rev. Jordan was ordained as an elder in the Pilgrim Holiness Church in 1958, which later became the Wesleyan Church. In 2005, Rev. Jordan transferred his ministerial credentials to the Church of the Nazarene. He served in pastorates in Sandusky, Marion, Jackson, and Mansfield, Ohio, as well as in New Mexico, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia before returning to Ohio to continue serving his Lord at the Bucyrus Church of the Nazarene, in Bucyrus, Ohio.



A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Wise Funeral Service, 129 West Warren Street, Bucyrus, Ohio, from 4 to 7 pm. A celebration service will be held at Bucyrus Church of the Nazarene, SR 4 South, Bucyrus, Ohio on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 1:30 pm. Immediately following the service an Interment Service will be held in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia, Ohio.
