Randall "Guido" Sanger

Randall Warren "Guido" Sanger, 52, of Bucyrus, died naturally yet unexpectedly at his residence Monday, October, 22, 2012.

He was born May 9, 1960 in San Jose, Costa Rica the son of Warren A. Sanger who preceded him in death in 2010 and Betty (Vargas Chacon) Sanger who resides in Bucyrus. Randall was a 1978 graduate of Wynford High School and worked various jobs from cheesemaker to welder. He was last employed at Timken where he worked in Metallurgical Quality Control for the past 15 years.

Guido was a wonderful man with a good heart. Whether helping a stranded motorist with gasoline in his younger years or traveling to Xenia to assist tornado victims with his welding skills, one could always depend on him. Guido was also a fan of anything that had a motor and his motto was: "The louder, the better." He enjoyed drag racing cars and motorcycles at both LaRue and Norwalk Raceways and loved following Jeff Gordon.

Guido enjoyed his boat, tinkering with motors and he loved any type of food, especially his mom's lasagna and beef tongue dinner; but the one thing he lived for most was to party with his friends and family "and you know who you are." Guido liked to socialize at Moose Lodge 669 and VFW Post 1078 and also partied with friends at various other hangouts.

In addition to his mother and many friends, he is survived by his two greatest accomplishments, his sons, Jesse W. Sanger of Sycamore and Kory R. Sanger of Wapwallopen, Penn.; two brothers, Kenneth J. Sanger of Bucyrus and Michael V. Sanger of Columbus; one sister, Jenice (Jerry) Hensley of Bucyrus; two nephews, Jeramie (Amy) Hensley and their two children, Alyssa and Jaxon and Joshua (Michelle) Hensley and their daughter, Joslynn.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 27 at New Day Ministries, 1715 Marion Road (former movie theater) in Bucyrus with Pastor Ted Thomas officiating. Guido's family will gather with friends one hour before the service at the church and they request that people dress in their favorite racing gear or relaxed attire.

His family would appreciate in lieu of flowers, contributions be given to Wise Funeral Service to assist with expenses.
