Peggy A. Bear

Peggy A. Bear, 81, of Bucyrus died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a recent illness.

She was born June 5, 1931 in Point Pleasant, W.Va. to the late Pearl and Christina (Lewis) Fisher. Her family moved to the Bucyrus area where she attended school at Holmes-Liberty, graduating in 1950. While in school, she dated Ronald Bear. They were married January 14, 1951 and moved to Nebraska before returning to Bucyrus in 1958.

Peggy was a working mom, raising her family and working 30 years at The Timken Co. as a head checker. She knew the Lord as her personal Savior and worshipped at the Bucyrus Nazarene Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald; daughter, Marcia (Eric) Griebling; grandchildren, Josh (Amber) Leitzy and Marissa (fiancé, Ben Campbell) Leitzy; and sister, Margaret Virginia Corbin.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Bear; brother, Henry Fisher; and sisters, Rosena Laube and Pearl Odel Kohler.

The Bear family will hold private services with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The Gideons through Wise Funeral Service.
