Pauline I. Linn, 86, of Bucyrus died peacefully Thursday morning, November 19, 2015 at Altercare of Bucyrus after living with Parkinson’s Disease for years and recent weeks in failing health.



She was born in Bucyrus on November 9, 1929 to the late James and Dessie May (Frank) Staiger. She graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1947 and married Carl Linn on December 18, 1948. Carl died of cancer on December 4, 1970. Pauline was left with their four children and worked as a seamstress for Vasil’s Mfg. She raised her kids and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.



She will be remembered as an excellent cook, especially her delicious pies, and a gifted gardener. Her sewing ability was taught to her kids and grandchildren as well. Pauline was a longtime member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church where she used to be active with the women of the church and sang in the choir.



Pauline is survived by her children, Nancee (Mark) Wood of Bloomville, Susan (Charles) Butler of Bucyrus, Carl (Nancy) Linn of Port Clinton and Jack Linn of Bucyrus; nine grandchildren, Leighton Wood, Justin (Jennifer) Wood, Klinton (Kymberlee) Wood, Charity (Chad) Wagner, Trinity Butler, Nicholas (Lauren) Linn, Chelsey Linn, Alex Linn, and Cara Linn; 10 great grandchildren, ChayLinn Hildreth, Chayde Wagner, Ty Linn, Cruz Linn, Ava Fadley, Azura Cooper, KimberLinn Butler, Barrett Butler, Kolton Wood, and Kynlee Wood; brother, James Staiger of North Robinson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Kocher, Dorothy Linn, and Mary Helen Snyder; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Carol Rittenhour.



In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ellen Staiger and Adaline Kocher; sister-in-law, Nellie Staiger; and brothers-in-law, Paul Linn and William Cole.



Pauline’s funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus with Rev. Timothy Nilsen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 until the service begins and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.



Memorial gifts are encouraged to be given to the National Parkinson Foundation or American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Memories can be left of Pauline’s Tribute Wall.
