Paul F. Tallman, 66, of Bucyrus died Tuesday evening, August 28, 2012 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a recent cancer diagnosis.
He was born in Bucyrus on January 26, 1946 to the late Clifford E. and Alice (Engle) Tallman. After attending Bucyrus schools, he began working before serving in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967. While in the Army, he was stationed in Germany. Paul worked in a number of places as a certified welder and as a tree trimmer, eventually retiring from Swan Rubber.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Ellen (Ronnie) Daniel and Dorothy Tallman and his brother, Jim (Lynn) Tallman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford G. Tallman.
Paul was a quiet man who kept to himself, read his Bible and worked hard. He could do anything he set his mind to, including working on cars when he was younger. He was independent and loved the outdoors, whether working or just enjoying alone time.
There will be a private inurnment in the columbarium at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus. Memories are encouraged to be shared at www.wisefuneral.com.
