Patricia M. Johnson

Patricia Mae Johnson, 77, died Friday, October 7, 2016 as a result of a recent stroke.



She was born April 9, 1939 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Frank and Mary (Montgomery) Baker and was a 1957 graduate of Kenton High School. On April 13, 1958, she married Sylvester “Ves” Johnson who survives and in 1959 Ves’ job with the railroad brought them to Bucyrus. In 1983 Pat and Ves opened A-1 Printing and together they grew their business to a multi-location operation which sold in 2002 after retirement.



Pat was an active Nazarene who worked in the nursery and taught Sunday School. Through the years, she worshiped in Bucyrus, Marion and, more recently, Crestline. She will be remembered as an excellent cook and for her great attention to detail at home and work.



In addition to Ves, her husband of 58 years, Pat is survived by a son Bruce (Leslie) Johnson of Bucyrus and one brother, Jesse (Linda) Baker of Kenton. She was preceded in death by three children, Bert, Keith, and Kevin Johnson; one brother, Tony Baker and two sisters, Lavonda Schertzer and Marie Moore.



Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 11 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Scott Buell officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkirk Cemetery, Dunkirk, Ohio.



Memorial contributions may be given to Crestline Nazarene Church through the funeral home and memories are encouraged to be shared on her Tribute Wall.
