Patricia A. Snyder-Cotsamire

Patricia Ann Snyder Cotsamire, 82, of Bucyrus, passed peacefully Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center following a recent illness.



Pat was born July 22, 1939 in Bucyrus Twp, Crawford County, Ohio to the late Charles W. and Martha (Snavley) Snyder. She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Zion High School and following graduation took a position at Ohio Power, working as an Office Clerk for 32 years. On April 16, 1989, she married Neil L. Cotsamire and he survives.



Pat was raised in Good Hope Lutheran Church, transferred to Emanuel Lutheran Church, and following her marriage to Neil, joined First United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines Chorus and participated in several competitions around the state. She was also a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge.



Pat had a great love for horses, and she enjoyed riding them in her younger years. She was an avid traveler, visiting favorite spots in Spain, Portugal, England, France, Australia, and Hawaii just to name a few. She and Neil shared many river cruises throughout the United States and Canada and over the years, she and close friend, Jean Williams, enjoyed many weekend getaways to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.



Pat will be remembered as a loving and caring person who was supportive to those in need. She looked forward to her monthly luncheons at the Pelican Coffee House, where she and fellow Ohio Power employees would gather and catch up on life. Pat rarely turned down a shopping trip or passed up a yard sale, especially if there was a deal to be had. In her down time, she simply enjoyed being in the comfort of their home.



In addition to Neil, her husband of 32 years, Pat is survived by stepson, Jeff Cotsamire and close friends, Jean and Howard Williams.



Calling hours for Pat will be held from 1—4 pm Sunday, December 5 at Wise Funeral Service, where her funeral will be held at 11:00 am Monday with Pastor Becky Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.



If desired, donations can be made payable to either the Humane Society serving Crawford County or the Bucyrus UMC, where money will be earmarked for the churches stained-glass window fund. Expressions of sympathy are encouraged to be shared on her tribute wall.
