Patricia A. Charleston, 74, of Bucyrus died Monday, June 18, 2012 at Altercare of Bucyrus.
She was born February 26, 1938 in Tiffin to the late Bruce and Jessie (Barlekamp) Lynch. She attended Tiffin schools and married James E. Charleston on February 26, 1955. They were married 40 years when he preceded her in death November 7, 1995.
Patricia will be remembered as a joyful lady who liked the company of others. She enjoyed reading, television, working crossword puzzles and holding her alley cat. Mostly, she will be remembered as a woman who loved being a mom and grandmother, often buying little trinkets from the numerous catalogs she received in the mail.
Patricia is survived by her children, Paul (Brenda) Charleston of Marion, James Charleston of Bucyrus and Pamela McGowan; grandchildren, Heather McGowan, Jake McGowan, Joe (Jess) Charleston, Anissa Surgener, Jimmy Charleston, Natosha (Chad) Keaton and Kaycee Charleston; six great grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, one of which, Margie Thurston, she spoke to regularly.
The Charlestons will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus after which, her remains will be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be given to Wise Funeral Service to assist with expenses.
