Minnie V. McLaughlin

Minnie V. McLaughlin, 69, died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Altercare of Bucyrus where she had resided over a year of declining health.



She was born in Cincinnati on September 24, 1950 to the late Willie and Flona (Tucker) Doss. When Minnie was young, the Doss family made their way to Carrothers and then Bucyrus where she attended Bucyrus Schools. She married Larry E. McLaughlin on March 7, 1970 and he preceded her in death September 28, 2018.



Minnie is remembered for her great sense of humor and blunt, honest answers. She worked as a homemaker and was a committed believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ. She used to sing and teach Sunday School and Children’s Church and worshiped at the Carrothers Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. She especially enjoyed doing things with her late sister and her beloved granddaughters. At home she enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books and played a competitive game of Rummy.



Minnie is survived by children, Tammy (Randy) Zornes and Karl McLaughlin (Michael Crosbie); grandchildren, Ashley, Allyson, Amber, and Adalyn Zornes; brothers, Karl (Dorothy) Doss and William (Joann) Doss); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of 48 years, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Tallman.



All services will be held on Saturday, January 11 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. The funeral will be officiated by Pastor Nathan Hale and will begin at 1:00 pm. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 am – 12:55 pm. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
