Mildred L. Main Wilson, 93, of Sulphur Springs died Monday, September 15, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after experiencing heart trouble.
She was born March 11, 1921 in Oxford Twp., Delaware County. The only child of the late Floyd and Helen (Hall) Fleming. Millie graduated from Ashley High School and took secretarial training at Bliss College in Columbus before returning to Delaware to work. She met Arthur Reynolds Main and they were married in 1941. They had two sons before Art preceded her in death July 9, 1955. She was reacquainted with Lewis D. Wilson, a friend from high school, and they were married October 18, 1956. After 47 years of marriage, Lewie preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.
Millie and Lewie settled in Sulphur Springs where they raised their family and she worked for the OSU Extension as a secretary. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church on Ridgeton Road where she was active in circle activities, Guiding Mothers’ Club and Relay for Life. She also enjoyed the Sulphur Springs Homemakers Club in years past. Millie’s passion was her home and family. She took great care of her home, flowers, sewing and especially her kitchen. Millie could make a gourmet meal when there seemed to be nothing with which to work. Every meal was delicious and made from scratch. Millie was a passionate Democrat and not afraid to share her views. She looked forward to watching Lawrence Welk along with the Cleveland Indians and Buckeye basketball and enjoyed the company of her cat, Simon.
Millie is survived by two sons, John Ronald (Arlene) Main of Galion and Arthur Randy Main (Cathy Bloomfield) of Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren, Cherí (Chris) Laughbaum, Aaron (Tina) Main, Arthur Ryan (Justine) Main and Monica Main; three great grandchildren, Cory Myers, Jordan Main and Reagan Main; one great-great grandson, Emory Ward and a number of nieces and nephews.

Warren St., in Bucyrus on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 5-8 p.m. and at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4707 Ridgeton Road, in Sulphur Springs on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Hans Scherner officiating.
