Mary Joan Sharrock

Mary Joan Rauth Sharrock died Saturday, February 4, 2017 after a long, difficult struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.



She was born June 13, 1927 in Bucyrus Ohio to the late Howard and Margaret (Uhl) Rauth. Following her mother’s death, her father married Catherine Studer, who precedes her in death as well as one of Mary’s sisters, Kathleen Rauth Bell.



Mary Jo enjoyed reading, knitting, going to see plays, and vacationing on Cape Cod MA. She loved the beaches, food, ocean waves and sand.



She is survived by her three children, Pamela Susan Sharrock, James Leroy Sharrock, Mary Catherine Sharrock, and her grandson, James Lionel Sharrock. Mary is also survived by three sisters, Pat Rauth Suver of New Washington, Margaret Rauth Shindeldecker of Wakeman OH and Terri Rauth Kern of Marion.



Mary Jo Sharrock participated in the body donor program at The Ohio State University. Wise Funeral Service assisted with those arrangements and remembrances can be sent to 324 Charlotte Street, Bucyrus Ohio 44820.
