Marlene L. Crall

Marlene L. Crall, 82, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at Galion Community Hospital, where she was surrounded by her loving family.



She was born November 23, 1935 in Marion, Ohio to the late Ralph L. and Pauline C. (Cochran) Hinaman. Marlene was a 1953 graduate of Holmes Liberty High School and graduated from Capital University in 1957 with a Bachelor of Music degree. On July 27, 1958, she married Donald E. Crall who survives.



Marlene cared for her family as a homemaker and taught music for several years. She was a lifelong member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.



In addition to Don, her husband of nearly 60 years, Marlene is survived by five children, Michael ( Julie) Crall, Melodie Reed, Marla (Mark) Scheffler, Melinda (Mike) Crall Cauley and Melissa (Bart) Christman; ten grandchildren, Jeremy (Beth) Crall, Aaron (Ashley) Crall, Amanda Crall, Brittany Crall, Todd (Kenzie) Crall, Heather (Tyler) Green, Donielle Crall, Morgan Scheffler and fiancé Justin Metzger, Jack Reed and Gunner Christman; seven great grandchildren, Brett, Brynn, Bria, Avery, Archer, Faith and Genesis and one sister, Mary K. Kottyan. Marlene is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many friends who knew her as Momma Marlene or Mom Crall.



Her family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Thursday, June 21 in the Sanctuary at Good Hope Lutheran Church, where her funeral will be held at 11:00 am Friday with Pastor Renee Ahern officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.



Contributions can be made payable to Good Hope Preschool, Good Hope Lutheran Church (worship and music), Lifeline of Ohio or a charity of the donor’s choice. These gifts will be accepted through Wise Funeral Service or at the church during her services.
