Margaret T. Hubble

Margaret T. Hubble, 92, formerly of Bucyrus and most recently residing in Louisville, Nebraska to be closer to family, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Louisville Care Center.

She was born March 4, 1922 in Consett, England to the late Lawrence and Mary (McGurk) Boyle. Margaret graduated from Niles McKinley High School and Providence School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nurse Certificate in 1946.

Hitchhiking with her sister one day, they were picked up by a young gentleman, Gilbert W. “Bill” Hubble who found both to be pleasant ladies. Upon further inquiry, he found Margaret closer in age and asked her out. They were married August 23, 1947, sharing nearly 56 years until his death in 2003.

Margaret not only cared for her family, she spent many years as a RN where she cared for many individuals at Bucyrus Community Hospital, the office of Dr. Carl Ide and also private practice until her retirement.

She was an active parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church while in Bucyrus and enjoyed attending mass at Louisville Care Center. She was a former member of Twig 4 and earlier in life she loved playing cards in her Bridge Club.

She is survived by two children, Debra Cook of Papillion, Nebraska and Craig (Marty) Hubble of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren, Robert (Amy) Cook and their two children, Madeline and Kyle, Leslie Cook-Knerr (Jonathan) and their son Simon, and Ashley Hubble Rogers (Kent).

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil and Tom Boyle and four sisters, Vera Boyle, Jane Gadd, Noreen Sears and Mary Bishop.

Funeral mass for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. John Miller as celebrant and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Trinity Church, Louisville Care Center, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research through the Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
