Margaret Breyley

Margaret Rose Breyley, 72, of Bucyrus passed away peacefully at home on Thursday evening, January 22, 2015.

She was born July 18, 1942 in Cranberry Twp. to the late Edmund and Rose (Faeth) Wurm. Raised on the family farm, Margaret graduated from New Washington High School in 1960 and Mansfield Beauty School in 1961. She was married to Lowell Breyley for 22 years and moved to Bucyrus in 1984.

Margaret began working at Reed’s Beauty Shop and enjoyed making people look and feel their best. Family was very important to her and she later stayed home to raise her young family. Margaret was the former co-owner and retired from West Side Feed Service where she enjoyed working with many area farmers. She had a strong faith and was raised at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church since moving to Bucyrus.

Margaret will be remembered for her classy and elegant fashion sense. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, ceramics, keeping up with current events and the company of various pet cats over the years. She was meticulous in everything she did and particularly enjoyed hosting and preparing holiday meals and celebrations for her family. Always eager to learn about and experience new places, Margaret was privileged to travel on many trips with her sister, Germaine, and daughter, Robyn. Preferring to travel by rail, Margaret’s travel took her to 47 states and parts of Canada.

Margaret is survived by three children, Rusty (Michele) Breyley of Tiro, Randy (Brenda) Breyley of New Washington and Robyn (Tony) Sheets of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Elizabeth Breyley, Rachel Breyley, Hannah Breyley, Corey Breyley, Emma Breyley, Leah Sheets and Mark Sheets; sister, Viola Schalk of Tiffin; brother, Ralph (Louise) Wurm of New Washington; sister-in-law, Jane Wurm; close family friend, Ray McCall as well as numerous and special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Wurm; sister, Germaine Flock and brother-in-law, Florus Schalk.

Margaret’s family will receive friends on Monday, January 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where a Rosary Service will be observed at 5:40. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. John Miller officiating with burial to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in New Washington.

Memorial donations may be given to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home
