Lillian Miller Bunn

Lillian Miller Bunn, 94, formerly of 121 South East St., Galion, and a resident of Olentangy Woods, passed away Thursday morning, June 2, 2011. She was born February 22, 1917 near Harpster to the late Leslie and Sarah Miller. Lillian married Dale Bunn on August 27, 1935 and he preceded her in death June 16, 1987.

Lillian was feisty and strong-willed but she had a tender heart. She was employed at the former Stratbury Co., North Electric, and operated her own beauty shop. She was also a caregiver and childcare provider. Lillian enjoyed reading and gardening and was a very good seamstress.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Bunn of Florida,; granddaughter, Katie (Mark) Erlsten of Galion; two great granddaughters, Annie and Lizzie; sister, Maida Baker of Bucyrus; many nieces and nephews, including Bonnie Hildebrand; and a very special friend, Linda Adams.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her brothers, Alex and Leslie Miller, and sisters, Mattie Miller, Aida Auck, and Philena Frankenfield.

Friends may call Saturday, June 4, from 10-11 a.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus where the funeral will be held at 11 that morning with Rev. Greg Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Brokensword Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Olentangy Woods for making a home for Lillian the past three years and Southern Care Hospice for their care and support.
