Lila Lee Uliano

Lila Lee Uliano, 92, of Bucyrus, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Altercare of Bucyrus with her family by her side.

She was born October 30, 1918 in Belmont County, Ohio to the late Ravaud and Lois (Wilson) Thornberry. Lila graduated from Barnesville High School and completed her schooling at Bliss College in Columbus receiving an associate degree in business.

She moved to Roanoke, Va. and worked for the war department for four years. Lila moved to Marion to be with family and in 1956 she married Anthony J. Uliano who preceded her in death on January 16, 1999. Lila worked for a few years at Marion Power Shovel in the 1960's but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. After her husband's death, Lila moved to Bucyrus to be with family and until recently was living with her niece and husband.

Lila is survived by her sister, Betty Reynolds of Bucyrus; her niece, Michelle Bacon and husband Alan of Bucyrus and a great nephew, Sean Bacon and wife Michele of Miamisburg, Ohio.

Funeral services for Lila will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8 at Wise Funeral Service with Reverend John Cory officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Marion, Ohio. Friends are welcome to visit the family one hour prior to the funeral from 10 – 11 a.m. Lila's family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation through the funeral home.
