Kimberly B. Roe, 64, passed into eternity with her Savior early Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Bucyrus Community Hospital after a few days of poor health.
Kim was born in Galion on May 26, 1958 to the late Kenneth W. Pry and Belle M. (Rowland) White. After graduating from Bucyrus High School in 1976, she began working at First Federal Savings and Loan. She started as a receptionist and retired as a Compliance Officer with 43 years of service. She married her high school sweetheart, John A. Roe, on October 14, 1978, sharing 44 blessed years of marriage.
Kind, caring, and wonderful are just a few of the words that describe Kim. No matter who they were, Kim’s kind approach and sweet, genuine concern for them guided her actions toward people. Faith and family were everything to Kim. Any time spent with her family was what she lived for. Her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy. She and John cherished every moment the two of them spent together. She and her family came to a saving knowledge of their Lord, Jesus Christ, in the early 1990s and they were all overcome with the peace of knowing their eternity would be spent together and with Jesus because of their decision to be saved. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Kim took pride in taking great care of her home and loved to entertain and use her special dishes for any occasion, especially Christmas. She liked watching old movies and usually had one playing as she worked around her home. Since her retirement, Kim enjoyed getting together for lunches with her sisters-in law, sister, and friends. She and John had also taken up RV camping.
Kim is survived by her husband, John Roe; children, Brian Roe and Leslie (Bryan) Redd; grandchildren, Noah, Lorelai, and Savannah; sister, Sabrina Pry; stepfather, Chuck White; step siblings, Kim Breivik and Tom White; cousin, Mary Ellen Fox; and many nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Services for Kim will be held on Friday, January 6 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Family will receive friends from 11 am – 1:25 pm and her funeral will begin at 1:30 pm with Pastor Bill Wert officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations are encouraged to be made payable to Lighthouse Baptist Church and given through the funeral home. Memories and photos can be shared on Kim’s Tribute Wall.
