Kevin Snyder Sr.

Kevin V. Snyder, Sr., 59, of Galion, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Galion. He suffered a brain injury in August.

Kevin was born in Mansfield on August 16, 1955 to the late Donald and Sylvia (Simpson) Snyder. He married Eva J. Flatt on January 22, 1977 in Glenmont. Their wedding was officiated by Kevin's father, Donald Snyder. Eva survives her husband.

He was employed by B&C Blacktop, Columbus in road construction. Kevin was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Kevin loved life.

He is survived by his four sons and his three daughters: Kevin & Nicole Snyder, Jr, Galion, Brian & Trista Snyder, Galion, Sarah & Rusty Conn, Mansfield, Jenny & Ken Butterfield, Galion, Korey & Jessica Snyder, Crestline, Donny Snyder, Iberia, and Hannah Snyder, Galion, his twenty grandchildren, and his three brothers and his three sisters: Don & Sharon Snyder, Karen & Joe Duffey, Tom Snyder, Kathy & Jerry Thomas, Neil & Karen Snyder and Arna Goddard.

He was preceded in death by his son Mearl-Stephen Durbin, his granddaughter Angel Serena Nicole Paige Snyder and his brother-in-law Ted Goddard.

Friends may call Friday, April 24, 2015 from 9:30 am - 11:30 pm at the Wise Funeral Service. A graveside funeral will be held that day beginning at 12:15 PM at Iberia Cemetery with Pastor Justin Lawhorn officiating. A procession will travel from the funeral home to the cemetery immediately following calling hours. To assist his family with funeral expenses, contributions can be given to the funeral home.
