Keith F. Krauter, 71, of Bucyrus and formerly of Marion, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his residence.
He was born December 20, 1940 in Greenville, Mich. to the late James B. and Selma M. (Fraley) Krauter. Keith graduated from Mt. Zion High School and served in the US Army from 1963-66. He returned to Bucyrus and worked at Swan Rubber for a short time before taking a job at Parkers and worked there for 25 years.
Keith was a kind and giving person who enjoyed fishing, recycling aluminum cans and making badges for people. He enjoyed his many years with the fellowship and always tried being there for others.
He is survived by one son, James (Tammy) Krauter; two grandchildren, James Krauter II, and Shaunda Blevins and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Liana Galati all of Marion. He is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Krauter.
Friends may call from 1-2:40 Wednesday, May 9 at Wise Funeral Service. We will then drive in procession to Oakwood Cemetery where a graveside funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. and full military rites will be provided by the US Army and Am. Legion, Post 181 Honor Guards.
