Joshua D. Thompson

Joshua Dewayne Thompson, 24, of Bucyrus, faithfully passed into eternity on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Josh was a twin, son, brother, uncle, friend and team player at both Champion Foods and for the Special Olympics (Crawford County Chargers). He was a 2019 graduate of Goal Digital Academy and prior attendance of ECOT and also a 4-H member (Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers).

 Those who knew Josh knew his faith and family carried him through his mental health as well as life ups and downs. Through his mental health journey, Josh's smile, sweet heart and charismatic charm was infectious to those he encountered in his day to day life. Through his battles, his family and friends brought great hope to the roughest of days. Josh knew no stranger and constantly found ways to share the gifts God blessed him with (Smile, laugh and conversations).

Josh is survived by his mom, Tawni Thompson and father, Shannon Thompson , step mom, Sherry Thompson and step dad, Larry Evans; twin sister, Ashley Thompson, oldest sister Brittany Thompson, sister, Mikaela and brother-in-law, Noah Jackson (the parents of his nieces, Nova, Eliza and nephew, Zion); grandparents, (grandma Bev Grau, Gwenn Thompson and grandpa, Don Pfahler); great aunts, Karen Grau and Judy Thompson; aunts and uncles, Ronnie and Traci Thompson, Rusty and Kylie Grau, David and Kim McGowan, Allen and Debbie Thompson, Charity Pfahler, and Mat and Kim Grau; many cousins, coworkers and friends who he considered family.

He was proceeded in death by both grandpa, Donald Grau and grandpa, Claude Thompson; uncle, Terry Grau (who he part time lived and worked with); great uncle, Wayne Grau, and great uncle, Ivan Gibson.

Funeral services for Josh will be held at Bucyrus Church of God, 1304 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus, OH on Wednesday, January 29th 2025. Calling hours from 4 - 5:55 pm. Memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Tom Campbell officiating.
