Jerry DeVol, 80, of Bucyrus, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Altercare Nursing Home. Jerry was born April 17, 1930 in Bucyrus to the late Edmond and Marjorie (Gerard) DeVol. He was a 1948 graduate of Bucyrus High School and attended The Ohio State University as an accounting major. He entered the Army in 1951. During his service he was stationed in Korea as a cook. On September 11, 1964 he married Carol June (Hart) DeVol, who survives. In addition to his wife of 47 years, Carol June, he is survived by his daughters Linda (William) Ewers of Sandusky, Connie (Ron) Eberhardt of Catawba and Teresa (Don) Winkle of Vandalia; five grandchildren and three step grandchildren; three great grandchildren with one on the way and three step great grandchildren; a sister Jean Reinhard of Bucyrus; brothers-in-law Pete (Carol) Hart of TX, Lester (Jeri) Hart of FL and Jim (Mary) Hart of TX; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved pets Lovey and Jet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Adam Mikusa and brother-in-law Al Reinhard. Over the years, Jerry was involved in many organizations and held numerous jobs. He worked at Wilkins Air Force Depot near Shelby, as a bartender at Posey'
