Jeremy D. Schifer

Jeremy D. Schifer, 30, of Bucyrus died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home.

Jeremy was born in Bucyrus on December 8, 1980 to Michael and Joyce (Rainey) Schifer who survive. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 2000 and held various jobs in the area. He was baptized and raised in faith at Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Jeremy loved the outdoors and previously held memberships in Moose Lodge #669 and the Bucyrus Area YMCA. He enjoyed shooting sports, weight lifting, camping, fishing, fast cars, motorcycles and owned a number of dogs throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Chad of Bucyrus and Nick of Cuyahoga Falls; grandparents, Marlin and Barbara Schifer and his pit bull, Jasmine.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frederick and Velma Rainey and step grandmother, Dorothy Rainey.

Jeremy's family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service where the funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Bliss officiating. A private burial of Jeremy's ashes will be held in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Good Hope's Welcome on Wednesday homeless feeding program or the Humane Society serving Crawford County through the funeral home.
