Jeffrey Howard Freeman, 59, of Bucyrus died Friday, January 22, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic after a long battle with heart complications.
He was born September 29, 1961 in Bucyrus to the late Willis P. and Elizabeth (Smith) Freeman and was in Bucyrus High School’s 1980 class. Jeff worked as a truck driver for Lucas Oil products.
Jeff will be remembered as an independent guy who was always quick with a joke and knew a lot of trivia. He was the first to show up at family gatherings and enjoyed teasing the “newest members.” He could be stubborn and outspoken and really got a kick out of giving those he loved the most a hard time. While keeping to himself, most of his time was spent tinkering on his collection of over 30 tractors and other items he acquired at auctions. Another of his favorite pastimes was attending stock car races and tractor pulls throughout the Midwest.
Jeff is survived by sons, Tony (Brandy) Myers and Jeremy Freeman; grandchildren, Dillan, Connor, and Addison; sister, Becky Freeman; brother, Willis Freeman; nephews, Josh Freeman (Angel Goin) and David Clary; and niece, Sara Freeman (Tyler Lewis).
Jeff’s family will gather privately to say their goodbyes. Those wishing to donate in memory of Jeff are asked to consider giving toward final expenses at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
Memories and photos can be shared on Jeff’s Tribute Wall.
