Jeannette J. Rosser

Jeannette J. Rosser, 83, completed her journey to Heaven Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 at the home of her son surrounded by her complete family.

She was born in Bucyrus on October 17, 1928 to the late Clarence and Mary (Campbell) Gingery. She graduated from Bucyrus High School, then worked at Geauga Plastics and Timken before starting her dream job as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Jeannette married Richard Rosser in 1967, sharing 37 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2004.

Jeannette was an active, caring, amazing woman who will be remembered as the best grandmother in the world, never playing favorites or singling out one family member over another. She always had room for a piece of chocolate and enjoyed being outdoors, camping at Walton Lake and Oceola where she could float in the water for hours and still manage to keep most of her hair dry. She had a contagiously positive attitude in spite of setbacks like rheumatoid arthritis. Jeannette studied Christian Science before joining Crestline's First United Methodist Church in the late 1960s. She moved with her family to New Port Richey, Fla. for her husband's health in 1987 where she took up line dancing and always enjoyed returning to Ohio every summer to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Jeannette is survived by three sons, Lance (Mickey-Michelle) Tucker of Crestline, Lane (Rogenea) Tucker of Bucyrus and Richard C. Rosser of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren, Melissa (Darrick) Tucker-Jackson, Crystal (Rolland) Decker, Chris (Angie) Hester, Lane (Allison) Tucker, Jr. and Amber (Jason) Vanover-Luce; nine great grandchildren, Chelbi, Destriana, Peyton, Gavin, Fayth, Darrick III, Jenny, Issah and Logan; two sisters, Mary Lou Schifer and Anna Horton and her very special friend and soul mate, Bruce Webber.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeannette was preceded in death by her sister, Dortha Ziegler and brother, Clarence Gingery.

Jeannette's family will receive friends Monday, August 20 from 2-5 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus after which she will be cremated.

Memorial contributions may be given to Maplecrest Assisted Living through the funeral home and memories or expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wisefuneral.com.
