Janelle K. Wilson

Janelle K. Wilson, 84, of Bucyrus died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.

She was born November 18, 1927 in Bucyrus to the late Harold and Eunice (Hilyard) Kissling. Janelle graduated as Salutatorian from Mt. Zion High School in 1945 where she played in the band. Janelle was a Red Cross volunteer when she was a teenager and married Ralph E. Wilson on May 11, 1947, sharing 57 years together before his death on June 23, 2004.

Janelle worked at G.E. for 10 years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed playing games, crafts, knitting and collecting pictures. She had recently enjoyed reading books and playing games on her new Kindle Fire. Janelle had done genealogy work on her and her husband's families and could always be counted on to send birthday and Christmas cards. She was a good neighbor and blessed with good friends as neighbors and caretakers, including Eleanor Iler and Joan Dunn and her best friend and Scrabble buddy, Gloria Morris. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bucyrus.

Janelle is survived by her children, Sharon (Terry) Tuttle and Michael L. Wilson, both of Bucyrus; five grandchildren, Jeff (Amber) Payne, Joe Payne, Angie McGary, April Tuttle and Alison Tuttle; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Storrer of Archbold and Joan Carman of Hollywood, Fla.; sister-in-law, Velma Kissling of Bucyrus; brother-in-law, Robert Carman of Orlando, Fla. Along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janelle was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Kissling, Jr. and Gerald Kissling and sisters, Judith Pressler, Joyce Pressler and Ramona Fulton.

Janelle's family will receive friends Friday, February 17 from 5-9 p.m. at Wise Funeral Service where the funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastors Ron and Rita Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
