James Samuel Jones Iii

James Samuel Jones III, 81, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Altercare of Bucyrus.



He was born August 27, 1934 in Clanton, Alabama to the late James S.and Odessa J. (Dickerson) Jones, Jr. Sam lived his entire life with epilepsy which limited his abilities. His family moved to Crestline in 1952 where he lived until the death of his parents. Sam next lived in Mount Vernon and then Tiffin before moving to Bucyrus in 1995 where he proudly separated light bulbs for General Electric through Waycraft Industries.



Sam enjoyed talking to people and when the weather was nice, he loved sitting in the front yard of his group home on Southern Ave. waving at the cars that passed by.



He is survived by two brothers, Royal J. Jones of Bucyrus and David L. Jones and wife Cynthia of Richmond, Va. He is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann (Jones) Merritt.



Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 26 at Wise Funeral Service. A graveside funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline and everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
