Hilda "Ann" Enders

Hilda "Ann" Enders, 87, formerly of Teddy Ave., Bucyrus, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Heartland of Bucyrus where she had resided since 2003.

She was born July 20, 1924 in Lykens Twp. to the late Russell and Doyle (Hawblitz) Reiff. The family moved to Bucyrus in 1934 where Ann attended Bucyrus Schools. She met a young man named Wallace Enders, they began dating and married July 16, 1942 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They shared nearly 63 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 28, 2005.

Ann is survived by two children, Jo Ann (Roy) Hargis of Bucyrus and Wallace "Butch" (Sara Lee) Enders of Mooresville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Joan Hatcher, Joy (Awni) Ijarah, Troy C.B. (Anna) Hargis, Jason (Allison) Enders and Carrie Ann Enders; six great grandchildren, Summer and Sammy Ijarah, Justin and Alyssa Enders and Kaitlyn and Hunter Hargis; and nephews, Charles (Cathy) Krumholtz and Brian Barnes.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Berniece (Roger) Krumholtz; brother, Gene (Virginia) Reiff and niece, Lynda Barnes.

Ann was a fun lady who enjoyed a good cup of coffee, loved to laugh and loved music, especially singing in the choir of St. John's United Church of Christ and listening to Glenn Miller and other big band greats. Recently, she liked attending music therapy at Heartland every Friday. She enjoyed playing Bingo, finishing word search books, and wearing perfume, red clothing and jewelry, especially earrings. She also enjoyed watching sports on television like Ohio State and NASCAR.

Ann worked as a homemaker and helped her husband at Enders Auto Service. She was a member of St. John's U.C.C. and the former Moonlight Riders Motorcycle Club with whom she enjoyed putting on Poker Runs for charity and the camaraderie of fellow riders. She also liked to visit her parents when they lived in Florida and chatting and reminiscing with lifelong friends.

Ann's family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, March 25 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. The funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's U.C.C. with Rev. Steven E.
