Hanna Dager, 94, of Bucyrus, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.

Hanna was born in Lorain, Ohio in 1919 to the late Taufie and Mehaba (Zegiob) Faroh. She was a devoted Christian who lived each day fulfilling the Lord's commandment of love. She is survived by her brothers, George Faroh of Cleveland and Father Paul Faroh of Carey, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward J. Dager and her siblings, Sultana (Andy) Toth, Alice (Jack) Patterson, Henrietta (Mac) McConnell, Charles (Irene) Faroh, Lillian Barnard, Josephine (John) Dunnigan, Frances (Florence) Faroh, and sister-in-law, Rita Faroh.

After falling ill in 2010, Hanna was cared for by her family members Sleiman, Nawal and Teresa Dagher.

Hanna graduated from Lorain High School in 1937. She was married on April 10, 1940 and moved to Bucyrus with her husband Edward J. Dager. They were committed to their life's work at Bucyrus Ice Co. and Velvet Ice Cream Co. Hanna was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bucyrus.

Known for being an excellent cook, a gracious hostess and a humble philanthropist, she loved each individual who came into her life. While never having any children of her own, she is viewed by her family and friends as having been a caring mother and grandmother through the endless love and support she provided to them during their lifetime. She will be missed dearly and will always be in the hearts of those she touched.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 21 at Wise Funeral Service and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at church. A vigil service will be held beginning at 7:45 p.m. Friday evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Faroh as Celebrant. A committal burial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. that day in South Lawn Cemetery in Utica, Ohio.

Contributions may be given to Holy Trinity School, Our Lady of Consolation or to Southern Care Hospice through the funeral home.
