Gregory D. Hout

Greg Hout, 54, of Bucyrus, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his home. His death was unexpected but of natural causes.



He was born October 26, 1963 in Bucyrus to the late Donald E. and Karen S. (Cole) Hout. Greg graduated from Col. Crawford and spent two years at Pioneer in their auto body program. He put this training to use by co-operating G & R Body Shop for a few years before working at and retiring from Bucyrus Blades. Greg had currently kept busy by working with his son in event merchandise sales. This gave them time together and allowed him to attend many concerts and events throughout Ohio and surrounding states.



Greg was proud of his two children and loved being active in their lives. He did a lot of traveling over the years and many of those trips were to NASCAR and NHRA races or concerts. He loved cheering for Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. and proudly celebrated any victories with a Busch Light. Greg was a proud member of NRA and was very knowledgeable about classic rock music.



He is survived by two children, Samantha (Cory) Swanger of Jacksonville, NC and Casey Hout of Bucyrus; one brother, Todd (Debbie) Hout of Tucson, AZ; one niece, Becca Hout; and two nephews, Jason and Jared Hout as well as his closest friend, Jane Sturgill.



Greg’s family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:55 Saturday, October 27 at Wise Funeral Service where his service will begin that day at 2:00 pm with Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating. It would be very appropriate for those attending to wear their favorite NASCAR or concert attire. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
