Ginny Ruth

Virginia Lee Ruth, also known as Jackie Lee Dalton, 69, of Bucyrus died Saturday night, January 30, 2016 at Marion General Hospital, surrounded by family, where she fought hard in her battle against Lymphoma, COPD, and CHF.

She was born on December 2, 1946 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. The only child of the late Harold and Laura (Kirkwood) McIntyre. After high school, she moved to Crawford County where she worked at PPG as their payroll and accounting manager before she began her family.

Ginny adored her family and was a constant supporter and encourager to each of them. When grandchildren came, she was truly fulfilled. Over the years, Ginny worked for Job & Family Services, Crawford County Home, made wedding cakes and even operated a fish store on Penn Ave. She enjoyed knitting, reading, watching hummingbirds, sipping on a cold Coca-Cola, and spending time with loved ones. She dearly missed her dog Gizzy, but enjoyed the companionship of her current dog, Rebel Lee. Ginny worshipped at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God.

Ginny is survived by four children, Paige Parker (Kathy Ruth) of Bucyrus, Jodie (Ruth) Knodell of Marion, Jason (Beth) Ruth of Bucyrus and Justin (Sarah) Beecham of Louisville, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Brandy Dye, Jesse Dye, Christopher Dye, Laura Ruth, Gage Ruth, Madison Knodell, Ethan Fisher, and Lilly Hodges; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children’s father and former husband, Richard E. Ruth.

Ginny’s family will hold a private gathering in her home on a later date. Cremation arrangements were made with Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Memorial contributions to Wise Funeral Service to assist with expenses are appreciated and memories and photos can be shared on Ginny’s Tribute Wall.
