Florence E. Daiber

Florence Edna Daiber, 94, of Bucyrus, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Maplecrest.



She was born October 27, 1923 in Crawford County to the late William and Nellie (Miller) Daiber. Florence never married but kept busy in life. She worked 40 plus years at General Electric and was a longtime member of the Bucyrus Nazarene Church where she taught as well as assisted in the Kindergarten Dept. for many years. Florence was also a faithful supporter of Nazarene Missions International.



Florence greeted everyone with a smile and was always there to help others. She enjoyed her daily phone conversations with her sisters and always wanted to know how her nieces and nephews were doing. She even prided herself in worrying over others, with hopes of them being able to complete the task at hand a little easier. For relaxation, she played her organ, completed jigsaw puzzles and did word searches but what really kept her going was working with her flowers and mowing her lawn, which often occurred two times a week, whether it needed it or not.



Florence is survived by three sisters, Mabel Kirby, Roma Keller and Joyce (Richard) Brown; ten nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Daiber and Hazel Daiber; close friend and care giver, Nancy Johnson as well as the many wonderful workers at Maplecrest who loved and cared for her.



Florence was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Daiber and Lloyd Daiber; two infant siblings and two brothers-in-law, James Keller and Richard Kirby.



Her family will gather with friends from 1-1:55 pm Wednesday, September 5 at Wise Funeral Service where her memorial service will begin that day at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Inurnment will follow in her niche at the Oakwood Cemetery Columbarium.



Contributions can be made payable to Nazarene Missions International (NMI) and will be accepted through the funeral home.
