Everett D. McManaway, 74, died suddenly of natural causes Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home.



He was born December 19, 1946 in Gallipolis to the late Everett L. and Carmen R. (Jackson) McManaway. Everett went to Col. Crawford High School where he played basketball, graduated in 1966, and then joined the U.S. Air Force. He married Beverly ‘Jeannie’ Cole in 1967; Jeannie passed away in 1989. Everett later remarried. He retired from The Timken Co. where he worked as a machinist. Everett and Pat volunteered at the Humane Society Serving Crawford County and he was a member of Elks Lodge 156, Moose Lodge 669, and AmVets Post 27.



Everett is survived by wife, Pat McManaway; children, Angie (John) Williams of Florida and David (Deborah) McManaway of Virginia; stepdaughters, Gina Groves and Anissa Groves; grandchildren, Michael (Lacey) Williams, Jennifer (Jason) O’Dowd, Daniel McManaway, Benjamin McManaway, Nathan Groves, and Allison Groves; and great granddaughter, Josephine O’Dowd.



In addition to his parents and first wife, Everett was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Charles) Rowalt.

Everett’s family is honoring his wish for no services. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.



He can be remembered with a memorial donation made payable to Humane Society Serving Crawford County and given through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. Memories and photos can be shared on his Tribute Wall.
