Euwilda J. Lewis

Euwilda J. Lewis, 74, of Bucyrus died unexpectedly at home Saturday morning, May 19, 2012 after a recent illness.

She was born on March 10, 1938 in Davy W.Va. to the late Garner and Ardella (Hawkins) Roberts. Euwilda moved to Bucyrus shortly after graduating from Welch (W.Va.) High School in 1956. She worked as a clerk for Swan Rubber until her 1998 retirement.

Euwilda married Earl Lewis on July 15, 1989. They spent their golden years travelling every chance they got and she loved cooking with Earl and sharing dinner with friends and family. She also enjoyed crocheting and ceramics, always looking to make something nice. She will be remembered as a kind, giving person. A "true lady" who had a purse, dress and jewelry for every occasion and always looked her best.

Euwilda is survived by her extended family, cousins, Mikki Richards and her children, Andrea and Vince (Aubrey) Richards, Dawn (Jason) Ratliff and their children, Nicholas and Taylor, Allen Phenicie, Daniel Phenicie, Willie Addison and Debbie (Jim) Mays; nephews, Jim (Janet) Shaffstall and Gene (Ann) Shaffstall; and brothers-in-law, John (Trudy) Lewis and Darrell (Carolyn) Lewis.

In addition to her parents and husband, Euwilda was preceded in death by her sister, Ardella Shaffstall.

Euwilda's funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Friends may call one hour prior, from 10-11 a.m. and burial will follow services in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Relay for Life or a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
