Daniel S. Routzahn, 47, passed away peacefully July 14, 2011 at his parents, Robert V. and Sandra J. (Miller) Routzahn's home.
He was born in Tiffin June 24, 1964, graduated from Wynford High School in 1982 and the University of Toledo in 1986.
In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his brothers, Doug (Mary) of Perry, Ohio and Steve (Beth) of Bucyrus; nieces, Erin Routzahn of Jacksonville, Fla., Amanda Routzahn of Bucyrus, Emily (Jesse) Johnson of Canton and Madeleine Farrell of Perry; nephew, Tim Routzahn of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and girlfriend, Juanita Gatchell of Bucyrus.
Dan worked for AGA Gas as a gas specialist salesman, traveling to China, Taiwan and California. He moved back to Bucyrus due to illness where he loved volunteering and helping people in any way he could. He was named Volunteer of the Year 2009 at the Crawford County Home, volunteered at the Humane Society where he served as vice president of the board, member of the Bucyrus Lions Club, and he was a greeter at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Friends may call from 1:30-2:30 Sunday, July 17 at the Bucyrus First Church of the Nazarene and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 in the church. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society serving Crawford County.
