Craig A. Rittenour, 40, of Nevada, died unexpectedly from natural causes Monday, June 3, 2013.
He was born July 24, 1972 in Bucyrus to Mark E and Joyce M. (Edgington) Rittenour who both survive and reside in Bucyrus. Craig graduated from Wynford High School in 1990 and spent several years working for the Village Woodcrafters in Bucyrus learning the proper details of fine craftsmanship. He and his brother Barry formed CABS Precision Wood in 2005 and for the past eight years, he's been proud of all the custom jobs completed.
In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by his two greatest accomplishments, his children, Daniel Coppersmith of Nevada and Candace Smith of Bucyrus; one brother, Barry Rittenour of Bucyrus; one sister, Amanda (Paul) Pahl of Lewisburg, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Addison, Hunter, Levi and Paizley Pahl of Lewisburg; paternal grandmother, Carol Rittenour; maternal grandparents, Charles and Naomi Edgington and his former wife, Donita Hammond all of Bucyrus.
He was preceded in death by his stillborn son, Brady Alan Rittenour and his paternal grandfather, Arthur James "A.J." Rittenour.
Craig lived life to the fullest and loved being around family and his dogs. He practically lived outdoors with much of his free time spent hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms, camping, relaxing by a fire and working in his garden. Craig was a caring man with a heart of gold and while growing up, he was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.
