Connie Kay Sherman

Connie Kay Sherman, 75, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her residence following a lengthy battle with cancer.



She was born October 8, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Eldon and Kathryn (Baker) Hines. Connie was a 1958 graduate of Bucyrus High School and that same year she married Wayne E. Sherman whom was her high school sweetheart. They shared various traveling adventures around the world and later in life, they called Big Pine Key, Florida home for seven months of the year and the other five summer months were spent residing in Bucyrus. Connie retired from Timken after 30 years of employment.



In addition to her husband of 57 years, Connie is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Rose) Sherman and their two children, Kathryn and Rachel Sherman of Sunbury and David (Nicki) Sherman and their children, Darby, Magnum and Eli Sherman of Oak Harbor. Connie is also survived by one sister, Robbe Fisher of Bucyrus; brothers-in-law, Don (Betty) Sherman and Butch (Betty) Sherman and one sister-in-law, Sherry (Karl) Kruse.



The Wise Funeral Service assisted Connie with the donation of her body to The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Donations may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home and memories are encouraged to be shared on her Tribute Wall.
